UNI Test Iowa now open

Dear Campus Community,

We are in uncharted waters. We need everyone to lead and work together to navigate the complexities of the Coronavirus and its current impact on our campus. The Response Team is currently reviewing the recent proclamation from the Governor's office to determine what additional steps, if any, are needed on our campus. As we continue to enhance testing capabilities, we announce that effective today, our UNI Test Iowa site is active.

Here is how it works:

  • Students, faculty and staff will go to the Student Health Clinic website and click on the UNI Test Iowa icon and complete the survey (purple button, left hand margin).

  • Once you have a QR code call the Student Health Clinic COVID-19 hotline at 319-273-2100 between 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday to schedule your appointment.

  • UNI Test Iowa numbers will be reported as part of the Student Health Center numbers in the weekly university COVID-19 update.

One benefit of a UNI Test Iowa site is the broader set of criteria to qualify for a test, furthering our efforts to protect our community. There are plenty of tests and appointments at the Student Health Clinic.

Beyond COVID testing, we also want to be sure you are taking care of yourself. Please utilize the UNI Counseling Center resources available to you and check out the Forward Together site for additional resources.

In this season of gratitude, we express our thanks to our entire community. At the same time, we must remain committed to the following actions each day:

Stay well. Stay healthy. Wear the mask. Wash your hands. Practice physical distancing.

We are almost there.

Sincerely,

Colleen Mulholland, Dean of the College of Education
Joseph Rayzor, Director of Risk Management, Environmental Health and Safety
