UNI COVID-19 public data now available

Dear Campus Community,

The COVID-19 public dashboard is now available on the UNI Forward Together site. The data includes information regarding testing at the UNI Student Health Center and how the Department of Residence is assisting students impacted by the virus.

We had hoped to share information on a daily basis but because of the low numbers of cases on certain days, we recognize that individuals may be identified through the dashboard. As a result, at this point, the dashboard will be updated each Friday at noon with our weekly data. We will regularly update Friday’s data by noon the following Monday.

The COVID-19 Response Team is utilizing this dashboard to monitor and analyze campus conditions throughout the semester. This data will help facilitate our response to incidents on campus as well as any increase in confirmed cases. We ask that you also be mindful of this data as you plan your activities on and off-campus. Slowing the spread of COVID-19 is a community wide effort, and our hope is that the data in this dashboard will empower you to make informed decisions.

No personally identifiable information will be shared on this dashboard, and we cannot share information in a way that might lead to identification of individuals. We recognize that anonymity is critically important - we must allow those who are impacted by COVID-19 to focus completely on their health.

Going forward, the COVID-19 Response Team will further refine this dashboard as our understanding of COVID-19 and data availability expands. As we work through issues relating to FERPA, we hope to add additional data to the dashboard; however, we must remain committed to faculty, staff, and student privacy.

If you have any questions, please send them to forwardtogether@uni.edu.

Thank you for your patience, your input, and your willingness to continue to make healthy decisions for our campus community.
