The Student Health Clinic has a limited amount of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines available next week. These vaccines are available for students, faculty, and staff as well as their immediate household family members who are 16 and older.
These clinics will be held at the Student Health Center and are available by appointment only. Please call the Student Health Clinic at 319-273-2100 to reserve your time. In order to use the vaccine most effectively we will fill Tuesday's appointments prior to scheduling Wednesday appointments.
Tuesday, April 27 9-11:30 a.m. or 1-3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 28 9-11:30 a.m.
Those who schedule their vaccination on one of the dates listed above will receive the two-dose Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
Please remember it is critical that you be present for the administration of a second dose accordingly on your second vaccination date of May 18 or 19, which is the week after final exams are completed. Your vaccination slot will be reserved that week on the same weekday and time as your first vaccination. When selecting your first appointment date, you will be automatically scheduled for your second vaccination three weeks later on the same day and time.
If these dates and times do not work with your schedule we strongly encourage you to use other vaccination options. The Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines are now available at a community vaccination clinic this weekend April 24-25 in Waterloo. You can register online. Most local pharmacies and health care providers in the county are also scheduling appointments. Visit Iowa's vaccinate site for more information.
