Information for Undergraduate International Students

Fall 2020 Schedule

Key decisions have been made about the fall 2020 schedule of classes. The first day of the semester is Monday, August 17, and the last day of  finals is Wednesday, November 25.

Arriving to Campus

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending that all international travelers coming into the U.S. stay home for 14 days after their arrival.  For the benefit of the community, UNI will be following this recommendation and will require all students coming from overseas to stay home and avoid contact with others for 14 days.

We are also now recommending students traveling from overseas to arrive by August 3, if possible.

UNI is prepared to accommodate and support arriving students.

  • If a student plans to live on campus, the Department of Residence will work with them to provide appropriate accommodations and access to meals.

  • UNI will work individually with students who are unable to arrive in time to begin classes in person.

More information will be provided when/if a student confirms their arrival in the U.S.

Online Options

UNI is offering online courses for students who are unable to arrive in the U.S. for the beginning of classes but do not want to delay their university studies. The program provides students with a wide variety of course options and forms of delivery to accommodate students in all majors and in all time zones.
