Important Notice Regarding Fall/Winter Study Abroad Programming

Due to the continued global health emergency and concerns surrounding COVID-19, the University of Northern Iowa is canceling Fall and Winter Study Abroad programming scheduled for students and faculty to depart before January 10, 2021.

UNI recognizes the importance of in-person study abroad programming learning opportunities, but the current global pandemic and timing makes this a necessary decision for students to defer studying abroad in order to make plans to register and attend classes on the UNI campus in August.

In the meantime, UNI will continue to monitor the global situation and update students and faculty about study abroad programming opportunities in Spring and Summer 2021. In addition, UNI's Study Abroad Center is working with partners abroad to organize virtual courses whenever possible and students are being encouraged to explore these options.
