UNI faculty, staff and students,
On March 13, 2020, Governor Reynolds implemented a moratorium on all non-essential travel by state employees. In accordance with the Governor’s travel moratorium and based on direction from the Board of Regents, the University is prohibiting all non-essential university-sponsored travel by faculty, staff and students, including all student organizations, effective immediately.
This moratorium includes domestic travel as well as international travel (which was previously prohibited by the Board of Regents). This moratorium does not apply to personal travel.
Future travel should not be scheduled or commenced until further notice.
For answers to your questions about this travel moratorium, including what constitutes university-sponsored travel or non-essential travel, please visit prepare.uni.edu/facultystaff-faq and scroll to the "Travel" section. If you have questions about domestic travel, please visit with your department head who may consult with their appropriate division head.
Thank you for your flexibility and patience as we continue to quickly adapt to guidance regarding COVID-19.
